SELLING/LETTING/MOVING HOME

Keeping You Safe. Keeping You Moving.

It goes without saying that the safety of our staff and you, our customers remains our priority during this period of Tier 4 National Lockdown. The housing market is open, and we want you to be confident, whether buying, selling, letting or renting, you are receiving the best, safe, service possible.

At Brinsons, we always put our customers and staff at the heart of what we do. Since the industry reopened its doors last year, we have acted accordingly and followed government guidance at every step. We know that there are many customers that are looking to move, and we have helped get you moving again. However, we would like to assure you that we have taken a great deal of time and thought into making sure we continue to act responsibly and professionally at this time.

Peace of mind – we can do things your way

We are committed to selling and letting properties but for us, it isn't just back to business as usual. We have all learned a lot through the COVID -19 pandemic and continue to do so. At Brinsons we are determined to take the best of that learning and make sure we use it for the betterment of all.

We know that many of you are still unsure about what is allowed, and what isn’t, and even under the guidance may not want to be in other people’s homes, or indeed allow others into yours. If you need to, or want to move property during this time or wish to limit social contact as much as possible, we have a vast range of virtual services available to help you with your move.

If you’re comfortable to have in-home appointments, we can continue doing these with only two households in the property in one viewing. Please contact a member of our team for further guidance on how we can go about this.

We have always known every customer is different and every customer’s situation is different, but never has that been truer than it is now. We will never lose sight of how important it is to talk to our customers and from talking and understanding we can help our customers in many ways. From virtual valuations and viewings to in-house market appraisals and property visits. As a business, we would always follow the government guidelines and we, at Brinsons, pledge to get you there SAFELY.

PUTTING SAFETY FIRST - OFFICE WORKING

To all our customers and colleagues. Our offices are open but closed to the public, not all staff will be working in the office at one time and we will have some staff working at home if they can. Below we outline our office-based procedures as the safety of our customers and colleagues is paramount to us.

Travelling to work - Where possible all staff will travel to work in their own transport to limit social contact with others Where staff need to use public transport to work then social distancing measures will be adhered to. Not all staff will be working in an office, as much of our business can be carried out effectively via home working.

Office day to day - Any member of staff returning to work must sign a declaration to say they are fit and well to attend work. This applies whether an individual is attending work in the office or customer visits. It is also the responsibility of each member of staff to alert the line manager and HR should that situation change. Keep the office locked and only see visitors by appointment. Reduce the number of people each person has contact with by using ‘fixed teams or partnering’ (so each person works with only a few others) and that the teams are rotated from office to home working. Cleaning of the office equipment and areas between team changeovers MUST be adhered too by departing and arriving team members.

Hands, Face, Space - Hands: All staff and visitors will wash their hands on entry or alternatively hand sanitiser will be made available on entry to the office. All staff will increase the frequency of hand washing and surface cleaning throughout the day. Cleaning products for desks, phones, screens, handles will be available and it is advisable that all items are cleaned at least twice daily.

Face: All staff will ensure all visitors wear face coverings, all staff know to wear face coverings when they come or are likely to come within close contact of a member of the public.

Space: Social distancing will be practiced at all times by staff, and our office is well set up to Always follow the 2 metre social distancing rules. The Branch will take part in NHS Test and Trace by keeping a record of all staff and contractors for 21 days. We display the NHS QR code poster for visitors or we take down details if someone does not have the NHS app.

Using our communal kitchen – all staff must wash their hands first before using anything and once again when they have finished in the kitchen including their own ware/cutlery and please remember social distancing. Cleaning products will be available for staff in the kitchen areas and the toilets. In the toilets and communal areas such as door handles, toilet handles, toilet taps etc these should be cleaned at regular intervals throughout the day.

We ask that all visitors, either customers or suppliers arrange visits by appointment, and always follow the above protocols.
